Diorama Of Three Diaries (Collection of Poetry) By Sonnet Mondal

Surprisingly, even in this highly commercialized world where money dominates the landscape, poetry is still being written by committed poets such as Sonnet. In his latest book of poetry “Diorama Of Three Diaries”, the poet deals with a wide variety of themes: inner journey, love and loss, the yearning for recognition, wonders of nature, and more.

Using fresh, invigorating language, the poet has carved out each poem with resonant imagery. Right from “The Wait” to “Searching With Folded Hands”, they are all pearls of wisdom culled from the deep oceans of the poet’s honest and compassionate mind.

Each of these poems are masterfully crafted and clearly written from the heart. In the poem “I Want To Fly”, the poet showcases not only his literary merit but also unfolds his compassion for products of Mother Nature. I just long for a pair of wings Cutting flood of clouds. Let my whim be its fuel—these are not mere lines but streams of luminous consciousnesses that are a manual of personal transformation for us all.

The poet uses all that he can, right from sublime words (Perhaps my million deaths would Arouse the dead from the graves) to breathtaking similes (Forget incidents as cigarette smokes and Retain them with cancer) and from description (The merry-go-round of life has started And you don’t even give it an eye!) to revelation (Illumination isn’t material. It rests in enlightenment.), to provide a portal to the larger dimensions of life.

The knowledge of the metaphysical comes through tangible things is exemplified beautifully in poems like Years After and My Mother’s Garden. And this quality speaks volumes of the poet’s knack of imbuing the commonplace with creative fervency, which in turn merges the poet’s images with that of the reader’s interpretation of these images.

The human touch is the poet’s forte. His father’s gramophone Sings beside him or The table has heard Dramas of thick emotion—all add that human touch thereby elevating the understanding of the dynamics of human experiences to a new level altogether.

Throughout the book the language is clear and crisp, yet evocative in tone. Throughout the collection, the reader will find distillations of thoughts, experiences and inner wisdom of the poet, all captured in dazzling poetic forms. There is spontaneity, rhythm, depth, spiritual transcendence and music in each and every poem.

Sonnet Sir is an unflinching philosophical poet as he seeks and helps others to see the philosophical meaning of everything under the sun by poetizing the apparent realities. The poet’s quest for a meaningful life continues in this latest collection too.

The collection shows a steady progress of the poet’s poetic self, which in a way, also enriches the world that we all live in. And the poet’s relentless drive to do more, to learn more, to share more, to enrich more and to write more is evident from the last poem of this collection—Searching With Folded Hands.

Savour the Flavour of this Soulful Collection!
